Red-hued aquatic plants add a stunning splash of color to aquariums. Their fiery shades create a dynamic contrast with green plants, enriching the underwater scenery with a vibrant palette.
I never scaped this aquarium with thoughts of entering a contest, this photo was taken after two months old before I had to move house. 😅
I wanted to take some photos for tropicaaquariumplants for the website and blogs as they sponsored me fully with soil and plants for this build, so I thought I’d just use them photos for a contest! ✅
I’m not sure if I would be able to aquascape an aquarium entirely just for a contest due to only have one or two aquariums at home! but I’m happy either way with my result! It’s all about fun and enjoying the process ✅
Shout out to the companies that support me on my aquascaping journey and also my friends I have met in the hobby! Shout out my guy scapes_r_us who took some great photos with no experience of taking contest style photos 📸

This is the final result of the hardware setup of my 2021 scape. All stones are Seiryu (Ryuoh rocks) provided by aquariumdelges and attached using silicone for aquariums. And I also used polyurethane foam and Volcanic gravel to create base below the rocks and a piece of glass to simulate the river water.
